The tips and recommendations listed here are based on educated opinions from Beta raid testing and reviewing logs and videos, so strategies can change as we develop a better understanding of each fight or as the spec and bosses are tuned. Miscellaneous Tips

• Recommendations that include Icefury are written with the assumption that you have access to Frost Shock, the same applies to Liquid Magma Totem, Totemic Recall and Call of the Elements.

• GCDs spent on healing and utilities are GCDs not spent on damage, but both are necessary to down a raid boss. Find the balance to optimize your contributions to your raid team.

• Time spent in Ghost Wolf is time spent not doing damage. Practice proactive movement and utilize Spiritwalker’s Grace, Gust of Wind and instant casts as much as you can for movement heavy encounters.

• Planning and using Earth Elemental on a particular phase can alleviate the difficulty of whole parts of a fight. It will increase your maximum health by an additional 15 % and can give you Primordial Bond for the whole duration. Be careful and remember that it could interfere with your Primal Fire/Storm Elemental usage when Primal Elementalist is talented.

• With the addition of Seasoned Winds we now have a good reason to volunteer for interrupt assignments, as they can potentially offer you a noticeable reduction in damage income.

• Now that Inundate has become baseline, keep in mind that not only successful interrupts are being rewarded with Maelstrom, but also Healing Stream Totem is a decent alternative to make the best out of movement globals if you neither have Lava Surge nor Icefury available.

• Remember to buy Gateway Control Shard. It will allow you to use Demonic Gateway easily.

• Use Primordial Wave and Stormkeeper to focus down Ravenous Spawns and Bile-Soaked Spawns [Mythic-only] whenever they are active.
• Use Spiritwalker’s Grace and Gust of Wind to maintain uptime whilst soaking Carnivorous Contest and to dodge Juggernaut Charge.

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables during Hungering Bellows or when targeted by Digestive Acid.
• Use Stone Bulwark Totem and Ancestral Guidance for Juggernaut Charge.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary and keep up Earth Shield as much as possible.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem and potentially Demonic Gateway to avoid Devour when soaking Carnivorous Contest.
• Use Capacitor Totem and Earthbind Totem to control Ravenous Spawns as much as possible.

The Bloodbound Horror

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables for Goresplatter but especially during overlaps with other abilities like Crimson Rain or Blood Curdle [Mythic-only].
• Use Stone Bulwark Totem and Ancestral Guidance for Gruesome Disgorge.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary and keep up Earth Shield as much as possible.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem and potentially Demonic Gateway to dodge Goresplatter or Spewing Hemorrhage.
• Use Wind Shear to interrupt Black Bulwark from Lost Watchers.
• Use Capacitor Totem and Earthbind Totem to control Blood Horrors as much as possible.

Sikran, Captain of the Sureki

• There are no phases or add spawns that require you to plan your offensive cooldowns around.
• Use Spiritwalker’s Grace and Gust of Wind to maintain uptime whilst repositioning yourself for Decimate or Phase Blades.

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables for Decimate especially when accumulating high stacks of Cosmic Shards.
• Use Stone Bulwark Totem when targeted by Phase Blades to not just mitigate the initial damage but also the damage-over-time effect of Phase Blades.
• Use Ancestral Guidance for Shattering Sweep.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary and keep up Earth Shield as much as possible.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players dodge Rain of Arrows.

Rasha'nan

• Focus down Infested Spawns whenever they are active.
• Ensure to have Liquid Magma Totem, Primordial Wave and Stormkeeper ready when Infested Spawns are about to spawn.
• Use Spiritwalker’s Grace and Gust of Wind to maintain uptime whilst dealing with Rolling Acid, Spinneret’s Strands or Infested Spawn.

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables when targeted by Spinneret’s Strands due to potential overlaps of Tacky Threads, Infested Spawn and Infested Bite.
• Use Stone Bulwark Totem when targeted by Infested Spawn to not just mitigate the initial damage but also the damage-over-time effect of Infested Bite.
• Use Ancestral Guidance for Spinneret’s Websnap.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary and keep up Earth Shield as much as possible.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players to follow Rasha’nan whenever she repositions herself. Wind Rush Totem will be ready for every “intermission” in builds that utilize Flash of Lightning or if you talent into Ascending Air.
• Use Wind Shear to interrupt Acidic Eruption from Rasha’nan.
• Use Capacitor Totem and Earthbind Totem to control Infested Spawns as much as possible.

Additional Notes:

• You can use Demonic Gateway for every single “intermission”.

• Use Ancestral Guidance or healing consumables for Experimental Dosage.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary and keep up Earth Shield as much as possible.

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players targeted by Experimental Dosage to reposition or to remove the root from Web Eruption if you have Jet Stream talented.
• Use Wind Shear to interrupt Poison Burst from Voracious Worms.
• Use Capacitor Totem and Earthbind Totem to control Blood Parasites as much as possible.

Additional Notes:

• You can use Ghost Wolf if you have Thunderous Paws talented to free yourself from Sticky Web but make sure to not root others in the process!

Nexus Princess Ky'veza

• Use Spiritwalker’s Grace and Gust of Wind to maintain uptime whilst dodging Eclipse or dealing with Nether Rift or Twilight Massacre.

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift right before Assassination expires to additionally mitigate every damage event from Queensbane.
• Use Stone Bulwark Totem during Nether Rift.
• Use Ancestral Guidance while Death Cloak is active.
• Use healing consumables whenever you risk dropping below 10 % health and therefore die to Reaper.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary and keep up Earth Shield as much as possible.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players run away from Nether Rift.

The Silken Court

Boss Fight Profile: Single Target / Cleave

• Try to pool as much damage as possible for when Anub’arash is affected by Entangled.
• Ensure to have Liquid Magma Totem, Primordial Wave and Stormkeeper ready when Shattershell Scarabs are about to spawn, but keep in mind that Harden Carapace will force you to delay most of that damage.
• Use Spiritwalker’s Grace and Gust of Wind to maintain uptime whilst repositioning for Binding Webs, spreading for Venomous Rain or dodging Impaling Eruption.

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift for Burrowed Eruption as it will cover the entire duration of it but especially due to potential overlaps with Binding Webs, Venomous Rain and Void Degeneration [Mythic-only] or Burning Rage [Mythic-only].
• Use Stone Bulwark Totem for Venomous Rain since it will once again cover the entire duration of the debuff.
• Use Ancestral Guidance and healing consumables as needed during crucial overlaps as described above.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary and keep up Earth Shield as much as possible.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players affected by Binding Webs or to soak Mote of Overwrought Paranoia [Mythic-only] or Mote of Unrelenting Rage [Mythic-only].
• Use Poison Cleansing Totem whenever tanks accumulate multiple stacks of Poison Bolt.
• Use Capacitor Totem and Earthbind Totem to control Shattershell Scarabs as much as possible.
