The tips and recommendations listed here are based on educated opinions from PTR raid testing and reviewing logs and videos, so strategies can change as we develop a better understanding of each fight or as the spec and bosses are tuned. Miscellaneous Tips

• Recommendations that include Icefury are written with the assumption that you have access to Frost Shock, the same applies to Liquid Magma Totem, Totemic Recall and Call of the Elements.

• GCDs spent on healing and utilities are GCDs not spent on damage, but both are necessary to down a raid boss. Find the balance to optimize your contributions to your raid team.

• Time spent in Ghost Wolf is time spent not doing damage. Practice proactive movement and utilize Spiritwalker’s Grace, Gust of Wind and instant casts as much as you can for movement heavy encounters.

• Planning and using Earth Elemental on a particular phase can alleviate the difficulty of whole parts of a fight. It will increase your maximum health by an additional 15 % and can give you Primordial Bond for the whole duration. Be careful and remember that it could interfere with your Primal Fire/Storm Elemental usage when Primal Elementalist is talented.

• Recall that Stampeding Roar is now more potent than Wind Rush Totem. Depending on your raid comp, it may be better to spend that talent point somewhere else.

• Remember to buy Gateway Control Shard in Valdrakken. It will allow you to use Demonic Gateway easily.

Damage:

• If talented, use Stormkeeper whilst Uprooted Agony is active.
• Cleave down Tainted Lasher and Tainted Treant (Mythic-only) whenever they are active.
• Use Spiritwalker’s Grace and Gust of Wind to maintain uptime whilst dealing with Controlled Burn and Shadowflame Cleave.

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables during Doom Cultivation before soaking Splintering Charcoal to minimize the damage income of Ember-Charred.
• Use Ancestral Guidance during Uprooted Agony to maximize its value and give healers more options to deal damage during this damage amplification.
• If talented, use Earth Shield and Healing Stream Totem as a movement filler throughout the fight.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players destroy Doom Roots as fast as possible.
• Use Wind Shear to interrupt Blazing Pollen from Tainted Treant (Mythic-only).

Igira the Cruel

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables when targeted by Blistering Spear or during Marked for Torment.
• Use Ancestral Guidance to handle the healing absorb of Heart Stopper.
• If talented, use Earth Shield and Healing Stream Totem as a movement filler throughout the fight.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary especially whilst affected by Heart Stopper.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players dodging Searing Sparks.

Volcoross

• There are no phases / add spawns that require you to plan your cooldowns around.
• Use Spiritwalker’s Grace and Gust of Wind to maintain uptime whilst dealing with Flood of the Firelands, Scorchtail Crash and Tidal Blaze.

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables for Coiling Flames.
• Use Ancestral Guidance during Serpent’s Fury.
• If talented, use Earth Shield and Healing Stream Totem as a movement filler throughout the fight.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players repositioning to either soak Flood of the Firelands or dodge Tidal Blaze.

Council of Dreams

Boss Fight Profile: (Spread) Cleave

Fight Breakdown

Damage:

• Keep Flame Shock up on all targets at all times.
• Change your primary target accordingly to avoid Rebirth. Prioritize your damage on Aerwynn and Pip.
• Use Spiritwalker’s Grace and Gust of Wind to maintain uptime whilst dealing with Emerald Winds or Barreling Charge.

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables whenever you accumulate high stacks of Noxious Blossom but especially for overlaps with Poisonous Javelin.
• Use Ancestral Guidance during overlaps of Poisonous Javelin and other mechanics like Emerald Winds.
• If talented, use Earth Shield and Healing Stream Totem as a movement filler throughout the fight.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players dealing with Polymorph Bomb.
• Use Poison Cleansing Totem to dispel players affected by Poisonous Javelin but keep in mind that you need to be spread to avoid suffering to Unstable Venom.

Larodar, Keeper of the Flame

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables during Raging Inferno and when targeted by Ashen Devastation (Mythic-only).
• Use Ancestral Guidance during Raging Inferno and when affected by Flash Fire.
• If talented, use Earth Shield and Healing Stream Totem as a movement filler throughout the fight.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players affected by Dream Blossom dousing Burning Ground as fast as possible.
• Use Spirit Walk or Thunderous Paws to free yourself from Scorching Bramblethorn.
• Use Wind Shear or Capacitor Totem to interrupt Fiery Flourish from Fiery Treant.

• Use Ancestral Guidance either for World In Flames or to remove Cauterizing Wound.
• If talented, use Earth Shield and Healing Stream Totem as a movement filler throughout the fight.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary.

• Use Spiritwalker’s Grace to maintain uptime whilst dealing with Fiery Growth and Fire Beam.

Defensives:

• Use Astral Shift or healing consumables when targeted by Fiery Growth or during Supernova especially whenever you accumulate multiple stacks of Astral Heat (Mythic-only).
• Use Ancestral Guidance during Supernova.
• If talented, use Earth Shield and Healing Stream Totem as a movement filler throughout the fight.
• Use Healing Surge if necessary.

Utilities:

• Use Wind Rush Totem to help players repositioning to either soak Fiery Growth or dodge Fire Beam.
• Use Spirit Walk or Thunderous Paws to free yourself from Mass Entanglement.

Additional Notes:

• Having access to both Go with the Flow and Blessing of the Bronze provides the option of having Spirit Walk ready for every single Mass Entanglement. Minimize usages in Mythic since using this will cause Scorched Treant to spawn!
